Periodic Table Project Report

Hi, this collegiate project team is conformed by:
- Astorga Villarreal Emiliano
- Bautista Rodriguez Roberto
- Gaona Santillán Diego Andrés
- Liang Zheng Marco Yuxin
- Mendoza del Moral Isaac

During our first semester, 2nd partial evaluation week, which took part in the week of October 16th, 2023. In chemistry, we were being graded with a team project; this was consisted of making a representation of the periodic table using our imagination and creativity.

There were a lot of projects presented, there was a periodic table made with jenga blocks, one in Minecraft, another with the shape of an abacus, and more.

But we did 2 different projects (our collegiate project team was split into two), one was made with brownies and the other one with shirts.

Starting off with the brownies one, we started by baking the brownies with the help of our moms and searching for an image of the regular periodic table on Google to copy it onto a sheet together. And then we got a cardboard and put each brownie on their respective place with their elements above them. And to finalize, we added decorations onto the cardboard.

Each team member had a role to represent the different elements. It became a collaborative and fun project, blending the elements of science and teamwork. The final result was a visual treat that showcased not only the periodic table but also the joy of working together to create something uniquely delicious.

The reactions were fantastic, with everyone appreciating the teamwork and the tasty outcome. It was a sweet reminder that when you mix a bit of science, a dash of collaboration, and a sprinkle of creativity, you get a delightful recipe for success!
This project took us around 3 days to finish and were made by Roberto, Diego, and 2 members that are not part of this collegiate project team.

Moving on with the other team, the shirts one. We started by getting our previous school's old uniforms, specifically the white polo. And then we gathered together, after school, to paint (with markers) the periodic table onto the shirts. We drew each one of the 118 elements with a lot of details, such as their symbols, the name, atomic numbers, colors to differentiate the groups, and more.

We used 4 polos in total so we could have a big representation of the periodic table (we did it by piecing the shirts together). And we resembled our table the most that we could to the original and official one. Again, each team member was responsible to study their respective part of the periodic table.

This project was done with great teamwork, as we were all working on it simultaneously and no time was wasted! So it took us 2 days to finish and to polish all details. This was made by Emiliano, Marco, Isaac, and 1 member that is not part of this collegiate project team.

And these were our projects that we made during our 2nd partial evaluation in chemistry.
